We are seeking dependable Material Handlers to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. This role is essential for the smooth operation of our warehouse and distribution center. You will be responsible for moving, storing, and preparing materials for shipment. Key duties include operating material handling equipment, loading and unloading goods, and maintaining an organized and safe work environment. Accuracy and efficiency are critical to ensuring that our inventory is managed effectively and that orders are processed promptly. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from different areas of the warehouse.
- Store inventory in designated locations, ensuring proper organization and stock rotation.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, adhering to all Safety guidelines.
- Support efficient Logistics by ensuring timely movement of goods.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in operating material handling equipment, preferably with certification.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including regular Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Commitment to wearing and utilizing required PPE .
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of inventory control principles.
