Join our growing logistics team in Charlotte, North Carolina, as an Inventory Clerk! We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to help us maintain the integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for conducting regular stock checks, investigating and resolving discrepancies, and ensuring that our inventory management system is accurate and up-to-date. This role is crucial for ensuring that we have the right products in stock at the right time, supporting our efficient supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a methodical approach to tasks, and a commitment to accuracy. You will work closely with the warehouse and operations teams to facilitate smooth inventory flow and contribute to overall operational excellence. Your diligence will help minimize stockouts and prevent overstock situations, directly impacting our productivity and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Perform cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system records and physical inventory.
- Update inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) promptly and accurately.
- Maintain organized and clean storage areas.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes as needed.
- Generate inventory reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and the correct use of PPE.
- Support logistics and shipping departments with accurate inventory information.
- Identify and flag damaged, expired, or obsolete stock.
- Perform tasks that may involve lifting items up to 30 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Office (Excel).
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Understanding of basic inventory control and logistics principles.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Must be physically capable of performing tasks that require lifting.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety best practices.
