We are looking for a diligent Shipping Clerk to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. You will be responsible for processing shipping orders, verifying shipment details, preparing documentation, and ensuring packages are correctly labeled and staged for carrier pickup. While not solely a **lifting** role, you may be required to assist with the movement of packages, involving **lifting** up to 30 pounds. Responsibilities:
- Process daily shipping orders accurately and efficiently.
- Verify shipping addresses, product details, and quantities against orders.
- Prepare shipping labels, packing slips, and other necessary documentation.
- Stage outgoing shipments for carrier pickup.
- Communicate with carriers and internal departments regarding shipment status.
- Maintain accurate shipping records.
- Ensure compliance with all **safety** regulations and company policies.
- Wear **PPE** as required in the shipping area.
- Assist with **lifting** and moving packages as needed.
- Support the broader **logistics** team and warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a shipping clerk or in a similar administrative/warehouse role.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of **safety** procedures in a warehouse environment.
- Commitment to wearing required **PPE**.
- Ability to perform light **lifting** (up to 30 lbs).
- Knowledge of **logistics** and shipping processes is a plus.
