We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our busy warehouse in San Diego, California. This role is essential for the efficient movement of materials within our facility, playing a critical part in our overall Logistics and distribution network. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials. Your duties will include transporting goods to and from different areas of the warehouse, assisting with inventory management, and ensuring that all operations are conducted in accordance with strict Safety regulations. A valid forklift certification is required. You must have a proven track record of safe operation and a keen awareness of your surroundings. This role demands precision, efficiency, and a strong commitment to workplace safety. You will be required to inspect your forklift before each shift, report any maintenance issues promptly, and adhere to all company policies. Proper use of PPE is mandatory at all times. While operating forklifts is the primary focus, you may also be required to assist with other warehouse duties, including Lifting of items up to 50 pounds when not operating equipment. - Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and into warehouse racking.
- Move materials to and from production, receiving, and shipping areas.
- Stack and organize inventory accurately.
- Perform pre-operation inspections on forklifts and report any issues.
- Follow all traffic rules and Safety guidelines within the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Wear required PPE , including a hard hat and safety vest.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, including manual Lifting .
