Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders.
- Stock inventory in designated areas, ensuring proper rotation and organization.
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently based on customer requirements.
- Prepare shipments for dispatch, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required for specific tasks.
- Participate in inventory counts and stocktaking activities.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals in logistics.
- Must be capable of lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds regularly.
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse or distribution center experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in picking and packing.
- Commitment to workplace safety and understanding of PPE guidelines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of logistics operations.
