Our Minneapolis, Minnesota distribution center is looking for a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and processing outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Your duties will include preparing shipping documents, verifying order details, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining shipping records. This position requires strong organizational skills, proficiency with computer systems, and a thorough understanding of shipping procedures. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a shipping or logistics role and a commitment to Safety and accuracy. We offer a competitive salary, benefits, and a positive work environment. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping labels and documentation accurately.
- Verify orders against shipping manifests and carrier requirements.
- Schedule pickups and coordinate with shipping carriers.
- Track shipments and provide updates as needed.
- Maintain organized shipping records and files.
- Inspect outgoing packages for damage or proper packaging.
- Operate shipping software and warehouse management systems.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety protocols and company policies.
- Wear appropriate PPE for all shipping-related tasks.
- Assist with loading/unloading trucks and moving shipments as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related logistics role.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and shipping software.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of Shipping and logistics procedures.
- Commitment to workplace Safety.
