Our Dallas, Texas facility is looking for a skilled Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain the accuracy of our warehouse stock. This role is critical to our logistics operations, ensuring that our inventory data is precise and reliable. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, implementing control procedures, and managing stock rotation. Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment to facilitate accurate inventory tracking is also a key part of this position. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of inventory management best practices. We emphasize a strong safety culture and require strict adherence to all PPE guidelines. While this role is primarily focused on data and process, occasional lifting of stock may be required, so physical capability is beneficial. Your efforts will directly contribute to operational efficiency and profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and identify overstock or stock-out situations.
- Ensure accurate data entry into the Inventory Management System (IMS).
- Manage stock rotation to prevent obsolescence.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes as needed, which may involve lifting.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with Inventory Management Systems (IMS) and WMS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory best practices.
- Understanding of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to perform light lifting and occasional manual tasks.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
