Join our growing logistics team as a Shipping & Receiving Associate in Jacksonville, Florida. This entry-level position is crucial for the efficient flow of goods within our facility. You will be responsible for handling all aspects of shipping and receiving, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. This includes unloading incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, stocking inventory, and preparing outgoing orders for shipment. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety are paramount in this role. We expect all associates to utilize the required PPE at all times. The role involves significant physical activity, including regular lifting of boxes and materials. Experience with forklifts or other material handling equipment is a plus. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, hardworking, and eager to learn the intricacies of warehouse operations and logistics. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies.
- Stock shelves and organize inventory in designated areas.
- Pick and pack orders accurately according to customer specifications.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including labeling and documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and use appropriate PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
- Safely perform tasks involving lifting of materials up to 40 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and the use of PPE.
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
- Reliable and punctual.
