We are seeking a reliable and efficient Material Handler for our warehouse in Richmond, Virginia. In this role, you will be a key player in the smooth operation of our logistics and distribution center. Your primary duties will include safely loading and unloading incoming and outgoing shipments, operating material handling equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks, and moving inventory to its correct storage locations. Maintaining a clean and organized work area is essential, ensuring that all materials are easily accessible and accounted for. Safety is our top priority; therefore, strict adherence to all safety procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. This job requires regular lifting and the ability to maneuver heavy items. A good understanding of warehouse workflows and basic logistics principles will be advantageous. You will work collaboratively with team members to ensure the efficient handling of goods and timely fulfillment of orders. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload materials from transport vehicles.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Transport materials to designated areas within the warehouse.
- Organize and store inventory efficiently.
- Assist in maintaining warehouse cleanliness and orderliness.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including the use of PPE.
- Perform necessary lifting and material handling tasks.
- Support overall logistics operations.
