Job Summary:
We are looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Sacramento, California. This role is vital for maintaining the integrity of our inventory data and ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics network. You will be responsible for managing stock levels, conducting audits, and implementing procedures to optimize inventory accuracy and minimize discrepancies. Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies found during inventory counts.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify patterns, predict stock needs, and prevent stock-outs or overstock situations.
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve inventory accuracy and control.
  • Maintain accurate records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Work closely with receiving, shipping, and operational teams to ensure seamless inventory flow.
  • Ensure proper organization and storage of inventory to maximize space utilization and accessibility.
  • Monitor inventory levels for damaged, expired, or obsolete items and take appropriate action.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and ensure proper use of PPE in all warehouse activities.
  • Manage and maintain the accuracy of product identification and location systems.
  • Support logistics efficiency by ensuring product availability and accurate tracking.
  • Tasks may involve occasional lifting to verify or move inventory.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency in using WMS and other inventory management software.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to read and interpret inventory reports and data.
  • Understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with material handling equipment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of general logistics principles and supply chain operations.
  • Familiarity with tasks involving occasional lifting.
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or higher preferred.
