Join our busy operations in Virginia Beach, Virginia, as a Forklift Operator! This position is vital for the smooth and efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to load, unload, move, and stack merchandise. A strong commitment to Safety and operational efficiency is paramount. You will work closely with other warehouse associates to ensure that all materials are handled correctly and that inventory is organized. Your role contributes directly to the success of our logistics operations. We are seeking skilled operators who prioritize Safety and accuracy in their work. Your proficiency in forklift operation will be key to this role.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring correct placement of goods.
- Stack merchandise in designated areas, following proper storage procedures.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or damages immediately.
- Assist with order picking, packing, and shipping as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all Safety standards.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Be prepared for tasks involving Lifting of materials and operating within a busy logistics environment.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to Safety and operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or distribution center.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform tasks involving Lifting and manual material handling.
- Good understanding of logistics operations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to wear PPE and adhere to Safety guidelines.
