We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler to join our expanding logistics center in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our facility. Your duties will include receiving, stocking, and distributing materials to various departments, as well as preparing them for shipment. A keen eye for detail, a strong sense of responsibility, and a commitment to safety are paramount. We require all team members to utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere to all safety guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials and products.
- Properly store materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring organization and accessibility.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from production, staging, and shipping areas.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counting and stock verification.
- Prepare materials for outbound shipment, ensuring correct labeling and packaging.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including safe lifting practices.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe work environment, free from potential hazards.
- Report any damaged materials, equipment malfunctions, or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain operations with various material handling tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Forklift certification is a strong asset.
- Ability to operate various types of warehouse machinery.
- Solid understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Physical capability to perform tasks requiring frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Reliable, punctual, and possessing a strong work ethic.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety protocols and the use of PPE.
