Alstom is seeking an Electrification Project Manager, reporting to the Project Electrification Director.

Responsibilities
  • Coordination between design needs/sourcing needs and project targets, including business case preparation and client presentations.
  • Risks coordination: identification, regular risk register updates, and mitigation action coordination.
  • Requirements coordination, including capture, allocation, rejection, and closure at each project stage (V&V activities).
  • Definition of design production KPIs and other reporting KPIs, including regular updates and root cause analysis in coordination with planning, design teams, etc.
  • Modifications management from identification to impact assessment to implementation across electrification subsystems.
  • DFQ process preparation and coordination with internal stakeholders (design, safety, cybersecurity, subsystem).
  • Propose and implement collaborative actions across electrification teams, including new ways of working with remote teams and stronger communication.
  • Coordination of target price definition with relevant stakeholders.
Reporting

This position will report to the Electrification Project Director.

The candidate will liaise with:

  • Engineering: On-shore, off-shore Engineering teams and Transverse Engineering team.
  • Construction: POS and OCS Construction teams.
  • Project: Electrification, System and other sub-systems management teams.
  • Customer, consultants, external stakeholders.
  • Civil Works, Track works and O&M partners.
  • Interfacing sub-systems (Rolling Stock, Trackworks, Signalling, Civil works).
  • Regional Centers and Central platforms.
  • Client and its consultants.
  • Any other third parties.
Performance Measurements
  • On-time delivery: 100%
  • Compliance to site works work package: 100%
  • Respect of Design For Quality (DFQ) milestones: 100% Go On Time, in accordance with the standards or rules of the Metier.
  • Respect of system performance: 100%.
Educational Requirements
  • Mandatory : Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering.
  • Desirable : Professional Engineer designation per Canadian regulations or in progress, Master's Degree in Business Administration, or Master's in Engineering or Project Management.
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in delivery of railway projects, electrification projects preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of railway design and built projects, including operations and maintenance aspects.
  • Good knowledge of OCS design and delivery.
  • First knowledge of power supply environment and interfaces with catenary systems.
  • Good knowledge of Canadian standards and common practices is a plus.
  • Autonomy, result and solution oriented, motivated and interested in innovative construction methodology topics.
  • Fluent in English; second language appreciated.
