About KOHO

We’re on a mission to make financial services better for every Canadian. That means no hidden fees, no predatory interest rates - just financial products designed to help our users spend smart, save more, and build real wealth. We’re a performance organization with a strong heart: we care deeply about outcomes, and everything ties back to our mission - to financially empower a generation of Canadians.

At KOHO, we’re not your average 9-5. We believe real impact comes from people who are trusted, empowered, and supported to do their best work - without sacrificing their lives to do it. We prioritize work-life integration, not just work-life balance. That means asynchronous collaboration, flexible hours, and a remote-first setup built around autonomy and high trust.

KOHO is entering its next chapter - leaner, smarter, more AI-integrated. We’re building for impact, not bureaucracy. If you thrive in environments that value clarity, ownership, and bold thinking, you’ll fit right in.

The Role

KOHO is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to drive in-quarter and long-term business growth by empowering data-driven decision-making and uncovering strategic opportunities to grow company-wide business outcomes. As a Senior Data Analyst, you'll leverage your expertise in query optimization, advanced data modelling, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver impactful insights that directly influence business strategy. This is the role for you if you excel at transforming complex data into actionable intelligence, developing sophisticated dashboards that tell compelling stories, and mentoring other analysts while maintaining high standards of data integrity.

What You'll Do
  • Own large data domain(s): integrating data requirements into project planning, collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams, building pipelines and dashboards, coordinate with other data team members on team projects and preserving our data warehouse as the source of truth at KOHO
  • Design and optimize data models with a strong focus on performance, leveraging advanced DBT features independently
  • Develop dashboards that go beyond visualization to answer critical business questions and support strategic decision-making
  • Proactively identify trends and opportunities through deep data analysis, thinking beyond immediate requests to uncover additional relevant insights
  • Partner with stakeholders to refine requirements, offering data-driven recommendations that align with business priorities and maximize impact
  • Autonomously own project planning and participate in cross functional domain ownership
  • Mentor team members and contribute to establishing best practices within the data organization
Who You Are
  • You have 5+ years of experience in data roles
  • You can write, review and enhance SQL queries with a strong focus on code performance
  • You demonstrate advanced expertise in DBT, independently implementing complex features and understanding shared team pipelines
  • You have strong version control skills with Git, efficiently analyzing code history and reviewing PRs for quality and performance
  • You are a strong data storyteller: you can adapt communication to different audiences and clearly articulate recommendations that connect technical work to strategic business outcomes.
  • You proactively identify work that should be prioritized based on business needs and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across domains
What’s in it for you?
  • Opportunity to shape the future of fintech and financially empower a generation of Canadians
