Description

Distribution Center Manager at HYTORC SOUTH EAST ASIA oversees the movement, storage, and delivery of goods within the company’s supply chain, ensuring efficient, cost‑effective, and timely distribution of products.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage distribution strategies to optimize delivery timelines and reduce costs.
  • Oversee warehouse operations, inventory control, and transportation logistics.
  • Ensure orders and transfers flow through ERP/WMS/DCD or other systems.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely product delivery.
  • Monitor KPIs such as delivery accuracy, cost per shipment, and inventory turnover.
  • Assist with paperwork, end‑of‑day communications, preparation for the next day, and related duties.
  • Assist with carrier pickups when necessary.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse Operations Manager to handle emergency openings on designated weekends.
  • Implement and maintain safety standards and compliance with regulations.
  • Manage and mentor distribution staff, including supervisors and in-house repair technicians.
  • Prepare reports and present performance metrics to senior leadership.
  • Align with Territory and Sales Managers to achieve business goals.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing safety standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
  • Perform other assigned projects.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Direct reports: Order processing, pickers and packers, in‑house repair technicians; additional direct reports may be added as needed.
Education / Experience Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in distribution, logistics, or supply chain management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior managerial experience with defined scopes of work, performance metrics, and team leadership.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, WMS).
  • Excellent problem‑solving and organizational abilities.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and warehouse safety standards.
  • Experience with lean logistics or Six Sigma methodologies.
Computer Skills Necessary
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel.
  • ERP and WMS experience preferred (SAP B1 and RESOLV a plus, but not required).
Physical Demands / Requirements
  • Occasional physical work (picking, packing, inspection) in the warehouse.
  • Ability to stand/sit for prolonged periods.
  • General office duties.
  • Minimal domestic travel (up to 10%).
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs.
Work Environment
  • Warehouse and office.
  • Responsive to dynamic business environments, including after‑hours and weekend availability when necessary.
