Join Dillon Consulting Limited as a Proposal Specialist in our Business Development and Sales (BDAS) group. We’re seeking highly motivated, detail‑oriented professionals to help deliver winning proposals across Canada.
Your OpportunityThe role is part of a new approach to managing proposal sales operations. Responsibilities centre around proposal development, execution, and cross‑functional collaboration.
Responsibilities- Prepare professionally written, client‑focused responses to proposal documents that are compliant, concise, and accurate.
- Own the end‑to‑end proposal development and submission process, coaching technical content authors and submission managers to improve quality and win rates.
- Leverage AI and proposal management software to create and polish submissions.
- Collaborate with Business Development, Sales, Marketing, and Graphics to develop persuasive, on‑brand proposals.
- Coordinate kick‑off and other cross‑functional meetings, develop detailed action plans and schedules based on deadlines.
- Apply project‑management skills to define and manage the proposal response process, section assignments, and review schedules to meet internal deadlines.
- Manage coordination with internal/external resources (editing, formatting, printing, distribution) for final delivery.
- Supervise a proposal coordinator within the same Business Unit, providing guidance and workload oversight.
- Support continuous business and proposal development improvements.
- Commit to ongoing self‑development and professional growth.
- Minimum five years of experience preparing proposals and tender submissions.
- Post-secondary education in administration, marketing, business, communications or a related field.
- Experience with AI tools and proposal management software is an asset.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and large, complex document formatting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong business writing, editing, and communication abilities.
- Aptitude for formatting, editing, layout, and unifying written content.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and quality focus.
- Understanding of basic financial terms, budgets, and schedules (e.g., Gantt charts).
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time‑management skills for fast‑paced environments.
- Experience in a professional services consulting firm (environmental/engineering/planning) is an asset.
- Experience with proposal management software platforms is an asset.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Microsoft Project, and PowerPoint is an asset.
- APMP certification is an asset.
