KPMG’s Accounting Advisory Services (AAS) professionals bring a combination of deep technical knowledge and industry experience to the challenges at hand, whether it be helping clients understand and plan for the accounting implications and wider business consequences of significant transactions or transitioning to new accounting standards or an entirely different accounting framework.
We are looking for experienced Managers to join our Ontario & Atlantic offices in the following locations:
- Ottawa
- Kanata
- Hamilton
- Oakville
- Kitchener-Waterloo
In this role you will leverage your technical, financial reporting and project management skills in order to support clients through a variety of challenges including accounting change projects, complex transactions and financial analysis.
What You Will Do- Leading and supporting accounting advisory projects, including financial reporting and business process design; fractional controllership, restructuring and transactions; analysis of complex accounting matters under multiple frameworks, e.g. IFRS, ASPE, ASNPO, PSAS
- Planning for and developing internal and external thought leadership for publications and events; facilitating and participating in client workshops and events
- Assisting clients with the evaluation of accounting requirements, reporting and disclosure standards, and preparing supporting analyses through drafting of reports and presentations
- Canadian CPA designation or international equivalent.
- 5+ years of professional work experience, including 4 years in a public accounting setting.
- Experience with, or a strong interest in, non-audit projects including financial analysis and reporting, technical accounting report writing, and consulting on accounting advice.
- Superior written and oral communication skills, with the ability to ‘uncomplicate the complicated’ by expressing ideas clearly, convincingly and concisely through oral presentations and written reports to both external and internal stakeholders.
- Effective project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing demands, without sacrificing attention to detail.
