Senior Software Developer in Test - AI

Senior Software Developer in Test (SDET) – Global Relay, Vancouver, BC. As part of a small, highly focused team, you will design, develop, and maintain testing solutions to support the delivery of scalable, robust AI and Machine Learning services on our enterprise platform.

• Participate in team planning and story grooming.
• Provide training, mentorship and support to developers and other team members.
• Suggest improvements to quality, coverage, test automation, and test processes.
• Oversee, consult and participate in test planning, execution, issue identification, resolution, and results reporting for releases.
• Conduct code reviews and help improve the quality of application and testing code.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of test automation frameworks, infrastructure and tools.
• Document automation frameworks, tools and infrastructure.

• Minimum 8 years of experience in a dedicated testing role.
• Strong understanding of testing practices and quality processes in an agile environment.
• Proficiency in structured programming languages such as Java or Python.
• Solid experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit or PyTest (minimum 4 years).
• Solid experience in performance testing with tools such as Gatling or Locust (minimum 3 years).
• Experience integrating automated testing into Continuous Integration systems such as Jenkins or Bamboo.

• Experience testing machine learning algorithms, large language models, and AI applications.
• Experience testing backend systems in-code with mocks.
• Experience testing vector databases.
• Experience generating and optimizing test data.

Base salary range: $85,000‑$110,000 CAD (British Columbia). Comprehensive extended health benefits program, including virtual healthcare and a wellness allowance.
