Responsibilities- Collaboration with multidisciplinary team members including engineers, planners, scientists, and technical/administrative staff in the development of detailed design contract packages.
- Assistance to project managers and engineers in the functional and detailed design of transportation structures.
- Completion of detailed design drafting for a variety of project types.
- Application of 2D and 3D CAD software such as AutoCAD and other specialty programs to produce design drawings.
- Preparation of construction drawings/documents.
- Calculation of quantity take-offs for concrete volumes, reinforcement, and miscellaneous steel for complex structures.
- Assistance with contract administration tasks including construction observation, shop drawing review, submittal review, progress payment preparation, and responding to requests for information.
- Coordination and completion of site assessments, construction observation, and construction management of site documentation.
- Business travel to other Dillon offices upon request.

- Diploma program from an accredited Architectural or Engineering Technologist Program, or equivalent.
- 0-5 years of experience in the engineering consulting industry.
- Strong verbal and written communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Proficient use of current AutoCAD and/or Revit software is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of Civil 3D is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of relevant municipal/provincial/industry engineering standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements is considered an asset.
- Understanding of the range of project design and implementation activities including development of design drawings and reports, contract document preparation, tendering, and contract administration is considered an asset.
