• Collaboration with multidisciplinary team members including engineers, planners, scientists, and technical/administrative staff in the development of detailed design contract packages.
• Assistance to project managers and engineers in the functional and detailed design of transportation structures.
• Completion of detailed design drafting for a variety of project types.
• Application of 2D and 3D CAD software such as AutoCAD and other specialty programs to produce design drawings.
• Preparation of construction drawings/documents.
• Calculation of quantity take-offs for concrete volumes, reinforcement, and miscellaneous steel for complex structures.
• Assistance with contract administration tasks including construction observation, shop drawing review, submittal review, progress payment preparation, and responding to requests for information.
• Coordination and completion of site assessments, construction observation, and construction management of site documentation.
• Business travel to other Dillon offices upon request.

• Diploma program from an accredited Architectural or Engineering Technologist Program, or equivalent.

• 0-5 years of experience in the engineering consulting industry.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Proficient use of current AutoCAD and/or Revit software is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of Civil 3D is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of relevant municipal/provincial/industry engineering standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements is considered an asset.
• Understanding of the range of project design and implementation activities including development of design drawings and reports, contract document preparation, tendering, and contract administration is considered an asset.
