Overview

Trillium Gift of Life Network (TGLN) is responsible for the delivery and coordination of organ and tissue donation and transplantation in Ontario. The Specialist, Transplant Programs works closely with the Manager and Team Leader to support the implementation of a suite of initiatives across provincial transplant programs, developing processes, tools and technology to execute program plans and deliver on mandates.

Responsibilities
  • Support the planning, implementation, and maintenance of quality improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct literature reviews, surveys and environmental scans; develop frameworks and actively participate in recommendation reports.
  • Define scope and deliverables of initiatives in coordination with stakeholders.
  • Identify and elevate program risks; propose recommendations to address issues.
  • Develop tools, templates, briefing notes, reports, executive summaries, status updates and presentations to support internal and external communication.
  • Develop and foster effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Plan, develop and support knowledge translation and exchange activities for clinical initiatives/programs.
  • Support integration within OH departments and other initiatives as needed.
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data, prepare reports and presentations.
  • Support priority panels, communities of practice and working groups.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently within timelines.
  • Coordinate project documentation, communications, schedules and timelines.
  • Provide support and coordinate meetings for internal and external groups.
  • Translate program/operational requirements into actionable solutions and monitor implementations.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in an appropriate discipline (clinical epidemiology, health sciences, health services research, health or business administration) or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum three to five years of related experience in a health care environment.
  • Experience preparing meeting minutes, briefing notes, presentations and reports (policy papers, evidence summaries).
  • Expertise in data analysis, information gathering and synthesis.
  • Experience applying project management methodologies.
  • Experience working with clinical experts, patient and family advisors and health care administrators.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong understanding of the Ontario health care landscape.
  • Excellent interpersonal, stakeholder relationship management and communication skills.
  • Superior attention to detail, organization, time management and prioritization.
  • Strong critical and analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to define problems, find solutions, and provide well‑articulated recommendations.
  • Creative, forward‑thinking, self‑directed and able to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a dynamic fast‑paced environment.
  • Commitment to organizational health, culture and values.
Location

Ontario Health supports a hybrid work environment and has office locations across the province. Applicants may reside anywhere in Ontario.
