About the role Are you ready to join the fast‑paced world of beauty? Boots is seeking a dynamic Digital Marketing Manager to join our Activation team. The role will be responsible for activating our brand and commercial priorities across our e‑commerce sites and driving our owned digital marketing channels. A focus on email marketing, on‑site content, SMS marketing and SEO for our owned websites and supporting our retail partners will allow you to collaborate daily with our creative teams to develop compelling content that truly connects. We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record in brand or digital marketing who excels in collaborative campaign planning and data‑driven decision‑making. The ideal candidate is customer‑centric and proficient in using CMS analytics and customer data platforms to achieve commercial goals.
You will see the direct impact of your work as you grow our on‑site traffic, captivate our audience with engaging content, boost conversions and elevate our SEO ranking, ultimately enhancing the performance of all our digital assets and tools.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Marketing Execution & Campaign Planning:
Lead the digital marketing strategy implementation, planning and optimisation for our e‑commerce sites and retail partners. Implement and refine customer acquisition and retention strategies through data segmentation and personalisation using the full mix of owned marketing, with a focus on onsite content, SEO, merchandising, SMS and email marketing, creating valuable information adhering to E‑E‑A‑T principles and building web authority. Brief the creative function for all onsite & owned channel assets for consistency of all digital.
Collaboration:
Work in collaboration with activation teams and commercial managers to deliver a seamless omnichannel journey.
Technology & Data:
Work closely with e‑commerce partners, IT and tech teams to enhance our onsite customer journey and experience, implementing 3P tools/services/partners that deliver enhanced customer experiences and enable in‑depth analysis of on‑site behaviour and analytics (alongside the Conversion Rate Optimiser).
Retail & Partner Support:
Support our retail partners within the area of specialism, i.e. onsite content, SEO & email.
Performance Monitoring & Optimisation:
Monitor and report on channel and content performance to make data‑driven recommendations for optimisation to improve overall traffic, engagement and conversion rates. Responsible for setting all owned channel performance KPIs.
Budget & Resource Support:
Manage budget tracking and forecasting.
Team Management:
Manage a team to ensure personal and business objectives are met.
What you’ll need to have
Proven experience in brand or digital marketing, ideally with deliverables in content creation and/or email marketing – track record in collaborative campaign planning.
Data literate with strong analytical skills.
Customer/consumer‑centric with an innate ability to understand human‑centred decision making.
Understanding of content management systems and digital marketing tools such as Teamp, Adobe Experience Manager, Salesforce CMS or WordPress.
Experience in or exposure to Customer Data Platforms to advise on journey and personalisation goals.
Proficiency in use of analytics tools (Google Analytics 360, GA4 or Adobe Analytics).
