Job Description As Assistant Design Manager, you will lead multidisciplinary station design and assurance submissions, coordinate design requirements, and support front‑line technical proposals. Your role will ensure design outputs meet WSP’s quality standards and client expectations while driving efficient delivery across complex rail stations. Responsibilities
Deliver multidisciplinary station design and assurance submissions.
Identify and document design scope, requirements, processes, and outputs.
Plan and forecast design activities.
Prepare technical proposals for projects.
Allocate design, coordination, integration, interface and assurance responsibilities in line with competence‑management processes.
Coordinate design requirements, processes and outputs, including work by internal suppliers, external sub‑consultants, surveyors and stakeholder requirements.
Qualifications
Working toward chartership status with a relevant engineering institution.
Experience of design management on rail station projects, including overall multidisciplinary design leadership on at least one project.
Experience working within multidisciplinary teams in a consultancy environment.
Experience of technical coordination, interface management and integration.
Experience preparing and submitting design assurance packages.
Rail industry experience.
