Über
We are now seeking a Junior Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing Electrical Design team. This role would suit a motivated graduate or early-career engineer looking to develop their skills within a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
The role and responsibilities include:
Delivering innovative electrical engineering solutions.
Design advanced models and drawings of a variety of electrical components and wiring assemblies.
Verification of designs through own calculations, analysis and CAE.
Working alongside our Electrical Technicians with testing and evaluating new electrical components.
Creating real or CAD mock up installations.
Producing electrical component test procedures, assembly procedures and manufacturing Codes of Practice for Electrical Technicians.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR We’re looking for a self-motivated team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. The ideal candidate will be:
Educated to MEng or BEng degree level in Electrical, Motorsport, or Automotive Engineering, and have good knowledge of 3D CAD, preferably CATIA V5.
Have the fundamental knowledge of electrical systems and materials is essential.
Have a meticulous attention to detail and a practical approach to problem solving.
Excellent interpersonal, relationship and team building skills, and share our determination to deliver the very best results.
Pride yourself on delivering a high standard of performance and quality whilst working to strict deadlines in a time‑sensitive environment.
Preferred Experience
Previous work experience in a Design Office setting on an industrial placement year, or hands on practical experience (either volunteering on race weekends or formula student) would be beneficial.
