Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Body Shop Operator to join our automotive repair team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auto body repair, fabrication, and vehicle maintenance, with experience working in dealership environments preferred. This role involves performing a variety of repair, restoration, and finishing tasks to ensure vehicles are restored to the highest standards. The Body Shop Operator will utilize a range of tools and techniques, including MIG welding, auto painting, and auto glass replacement, to deliver exceptional service to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, and auto painting using airless paint spraying equipment.
  • Conduct welding tasks such as MIG welding and soldering to restore vehicle structures.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools for fabrication, assembly, and detailing of vehicle components.
  • Assist with vehicle restoration projects, ensuring all repairs meet dealership or company standards.
  • Replace or repair auto glass and perform auto glass installation with precision.
  • Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks including mechanical repairs, auto estimating, and general diagnostics.
  • Prepare vehicles for customer delivery by performing detailing and quality inspections.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality results.

Skills

  • Dealership experience or background in automotive repair highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in MIG welding, sheet metal fabrication, and auto painting techniques.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle systems and auto restoration processes.
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, and auto body repair equipment.
  • Familiarity with auto glass replacement and auto estimating procedures.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of automotive repair processes including welding, soldering, and auto restoration is advantageous. This position offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment where craftsmanship and quality are valued. The successful candidate will be instrumental in restoring vehicles to their optimal condition while maintaining high safety standards.

Pay: $47, $120,000.00 per year
