Position Summary
The Night Auditor is responsible for maintaining the safety, accuracy, and guest service excellence of the hotel during overnight hours. This role combines front desk operations, guest relations, end of day financial audit procedures, and some setup of the breakfast area. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail oriented, comfortable working independently, and committed to delivering an exceptional guest experience.
Primary Requirements of the PositionRequired Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions
- Ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining high performance standards
- Professional communication skills, both in person and over the phone
- Problem solving and conflict resolution
- Ability to work scheduled overnight shifts with consistent attendance
- Basic computer literacy and comfort learning new systems
- Accuracy when handling cash and credit cards
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree
- Previous customer service experience, ideally in hospitality
- Familiarity with hotel operating systems or property management software
Guest Relations and Front Desk Operations
- Provide a welcoming, service focused environment for all guests
- Complete check ins, check outs, reservations, and guest inquiries
- Offer recommendations for local dining, attractions, and activities
- Protect guest privacy and handle sensitive information responsibly
- Address concerns or complaints promptly and take ownership of solutions
Night Audit and Reporting
- Run nightly audit processes and ensure the accuracy of daily financial records
- Maintain proper documentation and follow brand and company procedures
Hotel Support
- Assist other departments as needed, including light cleaning or support tasks
- Complete projects or assignments provided by hotel leadership
- Demonstrate teamwork, reliability, and dedication to achieving guest satisfaction
- Professional, friendly demeanor
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to remain calm, helpful, and attentive during overnight hours
- Eagerness to learn and complete all brand and company training requirements
