Maintenance Technician

Primary Duties:

• Perform diverse duties to install and maintain production machines, equipment and plant facilities.
• Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment and plant facilities.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and off hours.
• Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Perform a variety of plumbing, maintenance and carpentry functions.
• Use of hand/power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report to supervision/management
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Work with supervisor to plan repairs to minimize downtime of manufacturing equipment
• Interface with internal departments & vendors for quoting and receiving of parts & services.

Requirements:

• Mechanical repair skills/background
• Electrical skills/background
• HVAC experience a plus
• Safety: Confined Space, LOTO, Machine Guarding, Hot Work, etc.
• Fork Truck certified
• NFPA 70E training preferred
• Fabrication/welding experience preferred.
• OSHA training preferred.

Special Requirements:

• Must maintain a valid state issued driver's license without restrictions.
• Must have reliable transportation (for travel between Plants - mileage reimbursed).
• Must have means of contact during off hours for emergencies.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in a variety of temperature/weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.)
• Ability to use ladders, scaffolding and man-lifts at heights up to 30 feet
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Experience:

• Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent experience is preferred

Working Hours:

• 1st Shift
• Must be able/willing to work overtime as required

Pay: $ $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
