Bartender

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and experience in food and beverage service environments. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, engaging with guests, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Prior experience with POS systems such as Toast POS is preferred, along with a solid understanding of food safety and responsible alcohol service.

Duties

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently using POS systems like Toast POS.
• Engage with guests in a friendly manner, providing exceptional customer service to enhance their experience.
• Manage cash handling, cashiering, and processing transactions accurately while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and responsible alcohol service regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces throughout shifts.
• Restock bar supplies as needed, including garnishes, beverages, and other essentials for smooth operation.
• Assist in setting up for special events such as banquets or catering functions when required.
• Manage multiple tasks efficiently through effective time management skills in fast-paced environments like nightclubs or fine dining settings.
• Collaborate with staff and event coordinators to ensure seamless service during busy periods.

Skills

• Proficiency with POS systems
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally in various settings including nightclubs and banquet events.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
• Experience in food handling, food safety protocols, and responsible alcohol service.
• Knowledge of the food industry standards related to beverage preparation, serving techniques, and retail math for cash handling.
• Background in fine dining or hospitality environments is highly desirable; experience in catering or food service is a plus.
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions involving cash handling or sales calculations.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $11.01 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
