Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a smooth flow of service
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted and fulfilled
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
• Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including daily specials, wine pairings, and dietary accommodations
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing via POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
• Support food safety and sanitation standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols
• Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and resetting tables efficiently during busy hours
• Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and communicate guest preferences effectively

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; experience with OpenTable is advantageous
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and energetic approach to guest interactions
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours
• Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and order calculations
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced setting
• Culinary or kitchen experience is beneficial but not required; willingness to learn is essential
• Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and guests
