Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Prep Cook to join our team. As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of meals in our kitchen. This is an important role in our dietary department, ensuring that meals are prepared to the highest standards and meet the specific needs of our customers. Responsibilities: - Assist in meal preparation, including cutting, chopping, and measuring ingredients - Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency and quality - Assist with menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes - Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area - Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines - Help with inventory management and stock rotation - Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations - Provide support during food service as needed Qualifications: - Previous experience working in a kitchen environment preferred - Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques - Familiarity with menu planning and recipe execution - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions - Excellent time management skills to ensure timely meal preparation - Ability to work well in a team setting and communicate effectively - Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices If you are passionate about food preparation, have a keen eye for detail, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply for the position of Prep Cook.
