Line Cook

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in fine dining or catering environments. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional meals to our guests while adhering to food safety standards and maintaining a clean kitchen environment.

Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Assist in menu planning and development, ensuring seasonal ingredients are utilized.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and presentation of dishes.
• Perform food handling tasks, including portioning, plating, and garnishing meals.
• Manage inventory of kitchen supplies and ingredients, reporting shortages as needed.
• Ensure that all cooking equipment is properly maintained and cleaned after use.
• Participate in catering events as required, providing excellent service to guests.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably as a Line Cook in a restaurant or catering setting.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
• Familiarity with dietary department practices and dietary aide responsibilities is a plus.
• Excellent knife skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices for handling food.
• Previous experience in fine dining or high-volume food service environments is highly desirable.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating independence when necessary.
