Operated out of the Central Florida area, Advance Mechanical Systems is a Commercial Mechanical Contractor that focuses on Medical Facilities, Government Buildings, Amusement parks, and Schools.
We are seeking a qualified Estimator/Project Manager for multiple HVAC projects. Central tasks will include preparing accurate Estimates and Scope of Work letters for upcoming HVAC projects, relationship building, as well as research/data analysis for Estimation purposes. We are looking for an Estimator with the ability to work independently as well as directly with the Chief Estimator, on all aspects of Project Estimating and Project Management. Knowledge and experience with reading and analyzing blueprints, researching Specs, commercial construction Estimating, Project Management, Customer Service, Vendor Relations, and Customer/Owner/General Contractor Relations are a huge plus. The ability to calculate accurate cost Estimates with minimum guidance is a requirement. Qualified candidates bring with them a pleasant and professional demeanor toward customers and all levels of team members in the office, with the ability and desire to work in a small office setting. Responsibilities:
Build and Maintain Customer/Owner/GC and Vendor Relationships (Client and Vendor Relations) and secure future work.
Examine and review Projects available for Estimation consideration.
Learn all aspects of each project/all bid documents to create an accurate estimate.
Analyze project reports, labor requirements, specs, and data for each project.
Create Estimates/Scopes of Work and review for overall accuracy and completeness.
Work within scheduling parameters in an often fast-paced environment, to plan and calculate several project estimates at differing stages of completion.
Maintain open communication with Estimation Coordinator concerning important due dates to ensure timely completion of estimates.
Input info/utilize Company Estimation forms and software
Perform all On-Site Visits, Pre-Bids and Estimation requirements
Participate in the turnover of projects won with Operations and PM.
Examine and review all assigned Projects
Vendor and Subcontractor Contract negotiations and buy-outs
Work within scheduling parameters in an often fast-paced environment, to plan and oversee projects at differing stages of completion.
Permitting
Maintain open communication with Director of Operations and Owner concerning important due dates to ensure timely completion of projects.
Analyze project for labor requirements, equipment, and materials for each project
Perform On-Site Project Visits for meetings and progress reports
Coordinate Subcontractors according to schedule requirements
Build and Maintain Customer/Owner/GC and Vendor Relationships (Client and Vendor Relations)
Create and track Submittals, RFIs, Change Orders, and Closeouts/Redlines
Other tasks as required
