Line Cook

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team at Almaden Golf and Country Club. Country Clubs offer a ripe environment for Hospitality professionals to start their careers. Our operation offers Ala Carte Dining as well as large format dinner events to hone your skills. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and hospitality. The candidate will also be pursuing the culinary field as a direction for their career. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while delivering high-quality experiences to our guests.

Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations.
• Assist in the organization and cleanliness of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients.
• Organizing your station, leaving detailed prep requests as well as assisting other cooks with preparations of their station.
• Maintain a clean workspace, including regular cleaning of cooking equipment and utensils.
• Inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of shortages.
• Taking part in many special events at the club.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
• Proficient in various cooking techniques and meal preparation methods.
• Experience with knife skills and handling kitchen equipment safely.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff.
• A background in culinary arts or previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 32 per week
