Unarmed Security Supervisor (7447)

Job Summary
Sentry Force Security is building a team of experienced Unarmed Security Supervisors for a newly awarded contract slated to begin in February 2026. All work sites are located within the City of Norfolk. The selected candidates will be responsible for training, quality control and general oversight of security officers in the field. We are soliciting applicants to support all operational days/hours; specific schedules will be shared for candidate selection during the interview process.

• Hourly rate: $21.00 and up

Duties

• Supervise daily operations of a contract guard force at various sites within our client's area of operations to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Supervise and train all current and incoming officers, including daily remedial training.
• Mitigate call-outs while on shift and other attendance related issues.
• Respond to complaints and disturbances in support of security officers under your supervision.
• Conduct regular patrols and ensure all scan points are checked during rounds.
• Report and document all incidents that occur on the premises.
• Maintain situational awareness and readiness to respond to potential security threats.
• Maintain and communicate with the client to address and rectify all concerns and needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Relevant certifications in security or law enforcement preferred.
• Must have a Virginia DCJS Unarmed License.
• Pre-employment drug screening required.
• 2 years of security, military or law enforcement experience
• Minimum of one year VERIFIABLE supervisory experience required.
• Professional appearance and communication required.
• Ability to generate comprehensive field reports for client and internal review.
• Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance techniques is a plus.
• Strong technological literacy.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided.
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
