Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting the developmental needs of children across various age groups. This role requires a strong understanding of childhood development, classroom management, and curriculum implementation to ensure students achieve their academic and social-emotional goals. Experience with early childhood education, special education, and literacy is highly valued.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula tailored to diverse learning needs, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote critical thinking, creativity, and social skills.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe and nurturing environment conducive to learning.
- Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and ongoing observations.
- Support children with special needs through individualized education plans (IEPs) and early intervention strategies.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues through clear communication and collaboration.
- Incorporate child welfare principles into daily activities to promote overall well-being and development.
- Utilize classroom management techniques to maintain discipline while encouraging student participation.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, curriculum updates, and teaching strategies.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is essential.
- Experience with classroom management, lesson planning, and curriculum development is preferred.
- Background in early childhood education, preschool experience, or daycare environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of special education practices, behavior management techniques, and literacy education is advantageous.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and tutoring methods will be beneficial.
- Experience working in private schools or Montessori environments is a plus.
- Strong communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with students, parents, and staff.
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
