Duties

• Assist delivery drivers with loading and unloading goods from box trucks or commercial vehicles using manual lifting techniques, pallet jacks, or forklifts as needed
• Support route driving by helping to organize packages and ensure timely deliveries
• Help load items onto trucks accurately, ensuring proper placement for safe transport
• Aid in verifying delivery addresses and securing signatures from customers upon receipt
• Move and position heavy items safely during loading and unloading processes
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse or storage areas to facilitate efficient operations
• Communicate effectively with drivers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
• Follow safety protocols during all manual handling tasks, including heavy lifting and moving heavy objects
• Support drivers in performing pre-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking load security and vehicle condition
• Assist with documentation related to deliveries, including logs for load & unload activities and route records

Experience

• Prior experience in customer service or warehouse environments is highly valued
• Experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles is preferred
• Familiarity with delivery driver roles or courier services enhances your suitability for this position
• Knowledge of driving a vehicle with manual transmission is advantageous
• Hands-on experience with forklift operation, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during moving or loading tasks
• Previous route driving experience helps ensure smooth navigation and timely deliveries
• Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
