Advises customers on tools, hardware, and materials needed, and procedures to follow to complete tasks customers wish to perform. At times, safely and efficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle to deliver atmospheric, flammable, industrial gasses and hardgoods products to customers by performing the following:/pulliResponsible for adherence to company policies including safety and the use of personal protective equipment./liliProvides excellent customer service to both internal and external customers./liliEnsures all required branch paperwork is accurately completed, including coding, costing, and pricing./liliOrder entry, process cash and charge orders; assist with reconciliation of cash and bank deposits./liliCommunicates by phone, e-mail and in person with customers, sales staff, store managers and others, inquiring about and providing information on cost, ordering and delivery times, etc./liliObtains or transfers merchandise requested by customers to and from other locations./liliAnswers customer questions concerning location, price and use of merchandise./liliTotals price and tax on merchandise purchased by customers using a computer, calculator and/or paper and pencil to prepare an invoice. Accepts payment and makes change for customer purchases./liliMaintains neat, clean and professional personal appearance./liliMaintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, vendors, co-workers and management./liliStocks shelves, warehouse, counters and tables with merchandise, and maintains showroom displays./liliAt times may load and unload service trucks with gas cylinders, containers and supplies for scheduled route deliveries as directed by dispatcher./liliMakes deliveries in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction is met./liliEnsures that all documents required to move and deliver the load are available and accurate./liliInspects vehicle for defects and safe operating conditions before each delivery (pre-trip) and submit necessary documentation to report any defects or problems immediately. Type of Experience:/strong Minimum of one to three years of experience in industrial retail, inside sales, customer service and/or inventory control-related position./ppMust possess a valid Class A/B Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with Hazmat and Airbrake endorsements./ppMinimum one (1) year of class A experience operating a commercial vehicle./ppMust possess a clean and safe driving record, with no at-fault accidents or serious moving violations within the past three (3) years./ppBased on FMCSA regulations, the driver must be able to speak and read English well enough to perform the job safely and effectively. This includes, but is not limited to, conversing with the general public, understanding highway traffic signs and signals, responding to official inquiries, using company electronic devices as needed, and making legible entries on reports and records./ppExperience operating a forklift is preferred./ppDetailed understanding of SAP and PROS functionalities preferred./ppstrongKnowledge, Skills

Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds./liliBasic computer skills (i.e. Window Applications and Google Suite)./liliAbility to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines./liliMay be required to operate a forklift in the warehouse./liliAbility to read and comprehend safety data sheets./liliWorking knowledge of all Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations for commercial drivers./liliAbility to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form./liliAble to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals./liliMust meet all physical qualification standards imposed by regulation for drivers./liliPossess a commitment and desire to work safely and ethically./liliMust be able to work occasional overtime, when necessary./liliMust be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
