Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health and safety regulations.
• Assist in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
• Support the dietary aide in preparing meals that meet specific dietary requirements for guests.

Experience

• Previous experience as a cook in a fine dining or high-volume kitchen is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
• Familiarity with culinary techniques, menu planning, and food handling procedures is advantageous.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively within the kitchen environment.
