Veterinary Technician/Assistant

Richmond Hill Animal Hospital is looking to add a full-time veterinary technician or assistant to our team.

Our hospital is a small, yet busy, privately owned two doctor practice. Our goal is to provide our clients and patients with the best care possible while maintaining high quality in our fast-paced environment.

We are open Monday - Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and on the first and third Saturday of the month from 8am to 12:00pm. No nighttime hours and minimal weekend hours required.

Ideal candidates should have previous technician or assistant experience. This includes:

• Animal restraint

• Surgical prep, assistance and recovery

• Anesthesia monitoring

• Xray procedures

• Client communications

• Venipuncture

• IV catheter placement

• Use of in house lab equipment

• General knowledge of veterinary terminology and practices

• General pharmaceutical knowledge

Salary: $ $17.00 hourly, based on experience and skill set.
