Auto Body Refinishing Technician/Painter 2+ yrs exp. req

Kent's Auto Body has an immediate opening for a full-time Auto Body Refinishing Technician/Painter to join our growing team. This position requires a motivated individual who desires to always improve themselves and uphold the Kent's Auto Body reputation to the highest level of standards for which we are known.

Job Duties Include:

Review repair orders and manufacturer's procedures, understand the repairs required and verify the parts and materials needed.

Prep and mask vehicles and parts for refinishing.

Disassemble/reassemble components as needed for refinishing.

Look up, mix and spray primers, sealers, basecoats, clearcoats and any other products required in the refinishing process.

Must be proficient at blending, tinting and other forms of color matching.

Must be skilled in closely duplicating OEM finishes to produce an undetectable repair.

Refinish steel, aluminum, composite and plastic body panels and parts following all OEM and paint manufacturer's specifications and procedures.

Review and sign off on the final repair order to ensure all repairs are made correctly and as listed on the repair order.

Operate all equipment in the shop in a safe and productive manner.

Use discretion with materials & supplies.

Follow all shop procedures.

Keep a clean and safe work environment.

Job Requirements:

A minimum of 2 years previous experience as a painter in a production type shop is required.

Must be familiar with water-borne paint (we use Spies Hecker Hi-Tec/Axalta)

Be self-motivated with a strong work ethic and impeccable attention to detail.

Be able to work independently and be able to work well with other team members.

Punctuality, reliability and a good attitude are required.

I-Car experience preferred but not required.

Vocational and/or auto body tech training is preferred.

Have an acceptable driving record to meet company insurance guidelines and reliable transportation.

What We Offer:

$60,000-$100,000+/yr depending on qualifications, experience and productivity with the opportunity for performance bonuses.
