Medication Aide

Working as a CMA at Madison Medical Resort means being part of a team that tries every day to make life a little easier for the residents who depend on us. Our facility serves individuals recovering from hospital stays as well as long-term residents who call us home.

This role is steady, hands-on work. You'll spend most of your day moving between rooms, sharing quick conversations, offering reassurance, and making sure each resident receives their medications safely and on time. Responsibilities

• Administer medications accurately, following state standards and facility policy
• Document medication administration and track resident condition changes
• Support nursing and care staff with daily resident care as needed
• Monitor residents for side effects, side-issues, or concerns and report promptly
• Maintain medication cart organization and cleanliness
• Engage with residents, build rapport, offer reassurance, and foster a respectful environment

Skills

• Good organization and dependability over a long 12-hour shift
• Calm, steady judgment when handling medication and care tasks

Qualifications

• Active Texas CMA certification
• Ability to work the posted shift schedule (6AM-6PM, rotating)
• Dependable attendance and professional conduct
• Capability to assist residents with mobility or care needs, when required

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a state-approved Medication Aide training program

Experience Requirements

• Previous long-term care or post-acute care experience is a plus but not required
