Infant Teacher

Highland Forest Daycare and Early Learning Center is a nature-inspired educational preschool. We are located at 351 FM 646 RD N, Dickinson, TX.

Highland Forest Daycare and Early Learning Center is seeking a nurturing and attentive Infant Teacher to join our team. The Infant Teacher will be responsible for the daily care and instruction of infants ages 6 weeks - 18 months old.

The ideal candidate should have a passion for caring for infants, ensuring their safety, engaging in developmentally appropriate activities, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive and high-quality care to infants, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Follow daily schedules and routines.
• Engage in play-based learning activities that support infants's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment, including sanitizing toys and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their infant's daily activities, development, and any concerns that may arise.
• Follow all daycare policies and procedures, including health and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• MUST be at least 18 years old
• MUST pass a background check
• MUST have a high school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in Early Childhood Education or a related field are a plus.
• Proven experience working with children in a daycare, church, after-school program, nursery, or other childcare setting is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of child development and appropriate caregiving practices.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
• Ability to lift, bend, kneel, and stoop as needed.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with parents and coworkers.
• CDA is preferred but not required
• 1 + year of previous experience in a licensed childcare center preferred but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
