Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Program Assistant to support the development, implementation, and management of community programs. The Program Assistant will play a vital role in coordinating activities, managing volunteers, and ensuring the success of various projects aligned with organizational goals. Responsibilities
- Assist in designing and implementing community programs focused on public health, addiction counseling, and social work initiatives.
- Manage volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and supervision to ensure effective program delivery.
- Support program development through data collection, evaluation, and reporting to measure impact and improve services.
- Coordinate project activities, including scheduling events, workshops, and outreach efforts.
- Develop marketing strategies utilizing social media management to promote programs and increase community engagement.
- Facilitate public speaking engagements and presentations to raise awareness about program services.
- Oversee fundraising efforts by assisting with grant applications and donor outreach.
- Maintain administrative records, prepare reports, and handle correspondence related to program activities.
- Collaborate with team members on program evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Transport participants to designated locations via a 15 passenger vehicle.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in volunteer management, supervising teams, or program coordination.
- Strong public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively.
- Background in program development, project management, or social services such as addiction counseling or public health.
- Excellent organizational skills with experience in data collection and administrative tasks.
- Knowledge of social media management for marketing purposes.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in recruiting or teaching roles preferred.
- Experience in fundraising activities or grant writing is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
