Medical Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our pediatric outpatient clinic. The Medical Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting healthcare providers, ensuring a smooth workflow, and delivering high-quality care to our pediatric patients and their families. This position requires strong communication skills, clinical proficiency, and a passion for working with children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals in providing direct patient care.
• Prepare exam rooms and equipment for patient visits.
• Record patient vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints accurately in electronic health records.
• Administer vaccines and medications as directed by healthcare providers, following all safety protocols.
• Perform basic laboratory tests, collect specimens, and ensure proper handling for diagnostic purposes.
• Provide guidance and education to parents and caregivers on pediatric health, preventive care, and medication instructions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly environment within the clinic.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to improve patient outcomes and clinic efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and clinic-specific policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution preferred.
• Previous experience in a pediatric setting is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to comfort and engage with children of all ages.
• Ability to multitask, work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to changing priorities.

Work Schedule

• Full-time: Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
