Quality Control Inspector

Job Summary

Responsible for maintaining quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products; recording quality results.

Minimum qualifications:

• Familiar with PME utilized in machined part inspection, Analyzing Information, Reporting Research Results, Documentation Skills, Promoting Process Improvement, Safety Management, Manufacturing Methods and Procedures, Supports Innovation
• Must have good English written and verbal communication skills
• Have good arithmetic skills
• Have mechanical aptitude
• Must have knowledge of precision measurement instruments
• Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Experience/Education:
• 2+ years' experience in aerospace manufacturing/machine shop required
• ISO and AS-9100 experience preferred
• CMM experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent

Working conditions:

• Required to lift up to 50 lbs
• Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices
• Regularly required to use hands and arms to perform repetitive motions; to sit, stand, bend, reach, talk, hear and move around the facility
• Work performed in a combination of shop and office environments
• Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, oils
• Required to work on concrete floors, wearing steel toe shoes and safety goggles when applicable
• 4/10 Working schedule. May work over-time if scheduled.
• May be required to wear a respirator
