Lead Software Engineer

CuraLinc Healthcare is seeking a Lead Software Engineer (Back End) to guide, mentor, and elevate our back end engineering teams as we continue to build and enhance our digital mental health experience platform. This role is responsible for setting technical direction, ensuring engineering excellence, and partnering closely with front end teams and technology leadership to deliver a reliable, secure, and scalable digital ecosystem.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead, Mentor, and Grow Back End Engineering Teams, Fostering a Culture of Collaboration, Ownership, and Continuous Improvement
• Define and Evolve Technical Standards, Architecture, and Coding Practices
• Design and Implementation of Highly Available, Secure, and Scalable Systems in AWS
• Architect, Design, and Develop Back End Services Using Java and Spring Boot, Ensuring Clean, Extensible, and Maintainable Code
• Oversee the Implementation of Security Best Practices, Including Authentication/Authorization, Data Protection, and Vulnerability Mitigation
• Guide Performance Optimization and Reliability Improvement Initiatives
• Collaborate with Front End Teams to Ensure Seamless Integration and Clear API Contracts
• Partner with Product Management, DevOps, And Technology Leadership to Define Priorities, Roadmaps, and Long-Term Technical Strategy
• Champion Agile Practices to Enable Effective Planning, Estimation, and Iterative Delivery
• Lead Cloud Architecture Decisions and Deployment Strategies in AWS, Leveraging Services Such as EC2, Lambda, RDS (PostgreSQL), Valkey, S3, and Others
• Collaborate with DevOps Teams to Strengthen CI/CD Pipelines, Infrastructure Automation, Observability, and Testing Frameworks
• Ensure Reliability and Uptime of Mission-Critical Services in a HIPAA-Compliant Environment

Required/Minimum Qualifications

• 8+ Years of Professional Software Engineering Experience, Including Leadership Roles
• Strong Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful Service Development
• Proven Experience Building and Operating Highly Available, Scalable Distributed Systems
• Strong Understanding of AWS Cloud Architecture and Cloud-Native Design Patterns
• Solid Knowledge of Security Best Practices, Secure Coding Standards, and Data Privacy
• Experience Working in Agile Environments (Scrum, Kanban, or Similar)
• Familiarity with Front End Technologies (Angular) and Ability to Coordinate with UI Teams
• Excellent Communication, Problem-Solving, and Leadership Skills
