Position Description

Advertised Job Summary

The role supports the research center's mission by collaborating with leadership to plan, execute, and assess a wide range of center events – including external speaker series, monthly gatherings, and faculty retreats – and by preparing summary reports and program evaluations. This position manages all internal and external communications across web platforms, social media, newsletters, and university channels to elevate the center's visibility. It also develops and implements university-wide initiatives that promote engagement while fostering strong relationships with community partners through coordination of Advisory Board meetings, community-focused events, and maintenance of the center's research registry. Additionally, the role oversees the development and upkeep of critical center resources, including faculty databases, shared grant materials, listservs, contact lists, and community resource guides, ensuring efficient operations and sustained collaboration across campus and community networks.

Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.

  • The applicant must demonstrate the ability to contribute to the success of programs designed with specific, strategically aligned objectives, whether supporting a single initiative or multiple related projects.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to prepare reports and deliver presentations, and the capability to guide or support staff are essential.
  • The applicant must also be proficient with technology, able to apply sound decision-making, and adept at problem solving to support the development, implementation, and ongoing operations of program activities.
