We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring the smooth flow of patient interactions. This role requires a strong understanding of medical administrative support and proficiency in various office systems.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures.
- Manage phone systems effectively, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette while handling incoming calls.
- Schedule appointments and maintain an organized calendar for healthcare providers.
- Verify patient insurance information and assist with insurance verification processes.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including care plans, using computerized systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft.
- Provide administrative support by managing correspondence, filing documents, and handling medical records.
- Ensure the office environment is welcoming and professional at all times.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role in a very busy physical therapy clinic is a must.
- Familiarity with medical office procedures, including care plans and insurance verification processes.
- Proficiency in using office software and electronic health record systems; experience with Dentrix or Eaglesoft is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and composure.
