SUMMARY
The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for applying diversified knowledge of engineering, architecture, surveying, or scientific principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. Work requires the use of advanced techniques and the modification and extension of theories, precepts, and practices of specialized fields, related sciences, and/or disciplines. Acts as a senior, advanced engineer of the department, responsible for technical development in a specific engineering discipline.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serves as Project Engineer on complex, single-discipline, and complex multi-discipline projects.
- Serves as lead engineer on projects to coordinate work with other disciplines.
- Assists with proposal development and project documentation including estimating engineering manhours estimates for scope.
- Coordinates all aspects of project document completion within the company and externally with clients and other design professionals.
- Reviews work of the project design team. Checks the progress of work and alerts the Project Manager to needed changes to the scope or other services.
- Assesses the requirements of a project, break a project down into tasks, and works with a Project Manager to determine scope, budget, and staffing for a project.
- Works with code officials and other design professionals when an interpretation or exception to the building code is required.
- Promotes the use of and participates in the development of company design and production standards.
- Prepares or reviews construction budgets based on experience and scope of project.
- Performs or directs construction support/management on projects.
- Leads the education and development of design staff and acts as a resource for design questions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
- 15+ years of previous consulting or facilities engineering/design experience required.
- PE License preferred.
- Valid Drivers' License required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85, $147,000.00 per year
