Cleaning/Program Aide

Forever Young is a supportive Adult Day Health Care center dedicated to enhancing the well-being, independence, and quality of life of older adults and adults with disabilities. We provide a safe, compassionate environment where participants can socialize, receive therapeutic services, and engage in meaningful daily activities.

Position Summary

The Cleaning/Program Aide plays a dual role in keeping the center clean, safe, and welcoming, while also assisting program staff with daily activities, participant support, and general operations. This position is ideal for someone dependable, organized, and caring who enjoys working around older adults and adults with special needs.

Duties:

• Perform daily cleaning of program areas, restrooms, dining spaces, and activity rooms.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors, surfaces, and equipment.
• Assist with trash removal, sanitizing high-touch areas, and restocking supplies.
• Ensure the center meets health, safety, and infection control standards.
• Assist Activity/Program Coordinators with setting up and breaking down activities.
• Help guide or escort participants to program areas, meals, and restrooms as needed.
• Support participants during activities and social engagement.
• Assist with meal service and cleanup.
• Provide friendly, respectful interaction with participants.
• Observe and report any changes in participant behavior, mobility, or health to supervising staff.
• Encourage participant involvement, independence, and safety.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Bilingual- English/Mandarin or English/Spanish
• Experience in custodial/cleaning work, caregiving, or activity support a plus.
• Ability to work respectfully with older adults and individuals with disabilities.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow safety and infection-control procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 25–40 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and perform physical cleaning tasks.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
