Technician Assistant (Full-Time) — Support Our Integrative Veterinary Team

Healthier Pet Veterinary Care is seeking a dependable, efficient Technician Assistant with at least 1 year of experience in a veterinary clinic, shelter, or animal hospital. This is a hands-on medical support role, focused on assisting our technicians and maintaining smooth patient flow throughout the clinic.

What You'll Do
Technical Support

• Safely restrain dogs and cats for procedures
• Assist technicians with sample collection setup
• Hold pets during nail trims, ear cleanings, and treatments
• Prepare treatment room equipment and supplies
• Help process laboratory samples under supervision
• Clean and wrap surgery packs

Patient Flow & Clinic Efficiency

• Set up and reset treatment and exam rooms
• Move patients safely between areas of the clinic
• Restock treatment rooms, exam rooms, and supply spaces
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of medical areas
• Run items between lab, pharmacy, and storage areas to support technicians
• Stay one step ahead of team needs to improve daily flow

This role is ideal for someone who likes checklists, staying organized, and staying one step ahead of the team's needs.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a veterinary clinic, animal hospital, or shelter
• Confident handling and restraint of dogs and cats
• Able to lift 40–50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Comfortable with cleaning, stocking, and support tasks
• Calm, professional, and team-oriented
• Interest in integrative wellness — training provided
• Spanish-speaking is a plus

Schedule & Pay

• Full-Time: 32–40 hours per week
• Consistent weekly schedule; limited Saturday rotation depending on clinic needs

Work–Life Balance

Our team enjoys a predictable, steady schedule designed to support work–life balance:

• Open Tuesday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Open Saturday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Closed Sunday & Monday — every week, guaranteed

This means you get two consistent days off together, no late nights, and a stable weekly rhythm that supports both personal and professional wellbeing.

• Estimated pay range: $17.50 – $20 per hour, depending on experience and skill level
